Naija Collection: The Nigeria Football Kit That is Wowing the World Cup 2018

This year’s breakout World Cup jersey goes to the Nigerian team. The match shirt sold out in five minutes and even though the original report that 3 million jerseys were sold in that time wasn’t true- the reality is still pretty amazing. Three million dollars of the jersey were sold in five minutes. That certainly surprised many involved with the process. It was the first time Nike had people lining up around the block to buy a jersey.
So what’s all of the attention about? Why would this Nigerian jersey peak the interest of the World Cup crowd? It’s easy to see by the pictures that the jersey is refreshing and dynamic and still considered cool enough to meet the needs of a wide variety of people.
There’s a new term for Nigeria these days: Naija and this jersey reflects this pride in the Nigerian homeland. Interestingly, Lagos, the largest city in Nigeria is now called Little London by people in the UK.
The Naija Collection kit contains:
The Anthem Jacket- black chevrons, white and bright green pops.
Warm up jersey- you can see a hybrid of this jersey along with the England warm up jersey on the wall of the Toffee Club.
The floral tracksuit/travel suit

And then there is the home and away game jersey. Here’s the home jersey.

Cheek eBay for the current kit and hopefully, there will be another drop of the kit soon. You can check the Nike Jersey Shop for the Naija kit.
Join us at the Toffee Club for Nigeria’s match against Croatia on Saturday, June 16th at noon. Definitely wear your Naija jersey if you were lucky enough to get one and check out the hybrid of the England and Nigeria warm up kit on the wall near the dart board!
Cheers, Team Toffee
